Moulded Foams Limited Scotland are pleased to announce the award of a significant contract to be the sole supplier of expanded polystyrene road-freight and air-freight boxes to Lighthouse Caledonia at Cairndow in Argyll.

Lighthouse Caledonia are one of the largest producers in Scotland of farmed Atlantic salmon and have harvested around 22,000 tonnes of salmon in 2007, with a phased increase to around 30,000 tonnes expected by 2010.

Our manufacturing site at Cumbernauld is ideally situated to be incorporated in the round trip required to make the supply of boxes cost efficient, reliable and sustainable.

We have been supplying boxes to Lighthouse Caledonia for a number of months now with positive feedback that the total operation is slick with all three parties involved namely Lighthouse Caledonia, Moulded Foams Limited and Inverdell Haulage, working as a team with clear communication links and dedicated personnel.

As to the future, Moulded Foams Limited can look forward to the higher volumes predicted by Lighthouse Caledonia with confidence that our capacity, quality procedures, service and dedicated personnel are all in place to continue the good work already achieved and allow us to be recognised as an integral part of the Lighthouse Caledonia supply chain for many years to come.
