The following is a statement from Mr John Thornberry, MD Moulded Foams:

'Many of our customers have expressed concern about continuity of supply in the event of a serious outbreak of Swine Flu. We are pleased to inform you that we have contingency plans in place at all of our sites to ensure that sufficient trained personnel are available to operate plant in the event of an outbreak. Moulded Foams will also encourage key personnel to seek appropriate medical advice from their own or company doctor and were advised to receive suitable preventative remedies.

We are in the process of building stocks of our standard products to provide some degree of cushioning. We also have the ability to move work between our plants, thus providing an extra layer of security. Our major suppliers have assured us that they are able to maintain raw material production at the required level. We believe we have taken enough action to ensure continuity of supply through any likely outbreak likely on current forecasts.’
