Moulded Foams adds Stornoway to its manufacturing presence of Cumbernauld and Peterhead in Scotland.
Moulded Foams UK’s leading cellular foam shape moulder with additional manufacturing points in England and Wales has bought Polybox Ltd and brings a reinvestment and renewal programme to the factory at Stornoway.
A number of new machines have been ordered and one already installed to meet an increased demand over the next few years of fish farming in the Outer Hebrides.
The family owned business saw Moulded Foams as the natural acquirer of the business to protect and grow the capacity on the Island. Moulded Foams has continually reinvested and Polybox is seen as a natural fit for our business. We look forward to working with the Management team led by John McPhail and Craig Gillespie of our Cumbernauld site to oversee the investment throughout 2020, 2021 and beyond.
